Current Teaching Experience
Lecturer, Miami Dade College at Kendall, 2013 - 2016. I teach classes on public speaking, writing, research, and the tools and practices of the digital commons.
Lecturer, University of Texas at San Antonio, Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Summer 2013. In Fall 2012, I taught two upper-division undergraduate classes, one on intercultural topics and the other on international communications. In Spring 2013, I taught three upper-division undergraduate classes, one on communications rhetoric, one on intercultural topics and the third on communication research methods (both quantitative and qualitative). During Summer 2013, I taught two introduction to public speaking classes during the first term of the summer semester.
Graduate Instructor, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2006-2012. As a graduate instructor, I was the instructor of record for nine undergraduate communications courses at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I also served as a teaching assistant for three other courses in communications.
Prior Teaching Experience
Graduate Teaching Instructor, 1997 – 2000 at the Program in Comparative Literature, University of Oregon. I was the instructor of record for twelve Comparative Literature undergraduate courses (COLT 101) between Winter Quarter 1997 to Summer 2000 at the University of Oregon. These courses satisfied the University of Oregon's multicultural studies requirement.
